Hearing Loss & Noise Abatement

Minimum 8 / $50.00 per student / 2 hours
Employees who routinely work with or near noise sources such as heavy equipment, power tools, demolition activities, pneumatic equipment, etc. are required to use hearing protection, obtain hearing tests, and receive training. The physics of noise, measurement methods, mechanisms of hearing loss, hearing tests, and types of hearing protection are reviewed. Students will learn how to select and use hearing protection properly.

Classes that are marked with a ( * ) can be combined to receive an OSHA 10 Hour Card.
Classes that are marked with a
( ** ) can be combined to receive an OSHA 30 Hour Card.
All 10 and 30 hour training must take place within a six(6) month period.
