HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste & Emergency Response)

Will you be responsible for employees on Superfund, Brownfield, or EPA cleanup sites? This course should be tailored to a specific firm and its management policies and principles. It will cover pertinent OSHA regulations, reporting requirements for injuries and illnesses, risk management and the true cost of incidents, outside contractors and liability, community impacts, and project management of higher risk activities such as scaffold erection, excavation, fall protection, cranes, working near railroad tracks, PPE selection, and traffic control.
HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste & Emergency Response)
– Annual Refresher
Minimum 8 / $200.00 per student / 8 hours
Class is tailored to a specific project. It covers physical, biological, and chemical hazards which may be found on remediation sites and general safe practices. Planning for emergency response, PPE selection, exposure monitoring and general hazard assessment practices are covered. Hazards associated with use of heavy equipment, excavations, drill rigs, materials handling, drum handling, soil and water sampling, and bioaugmentation are covered as needed. Students are also taught site layout practices and client/subcontractor interaction techniques. Written exam is required.
HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste & Emergency Response)
– 24 Hour
Minimum 8 / $600.00 per student / 24 hours
This course reviews the OSHA HAZWOPER Standard and its requirements. Detailed lectures on medical monitoring, principles of safety, the properties of hazardous materials, health hazards, hazard communication, personal protective equipment, respiratory protection, drum handling, instrumentation, confined space entry, spill response, site control and engineering practices are provided. Class includes hands on exercises which require participants to apply what they have learned. Proficiency must be demonstrated through completion of a written exam.

– 40 Hour
Minimum 8 / $1,000.00 per student / 40 hours
Have hazardous materials been discovered on your project? This course reviews the OSHA HAZWOPER Standard and its requirements. Detailed lectures on medical monitoring, principles of safety, the properties of hazardous materials, health hazards, hazard communication, personal protective equipment, respiratory protection, drum handling, instrumentation, confined space entry, spill response, site control and engineering practices are provided. Class includes multiple hands on exercises which require participants to apply what they have learned to realistic scenarios. Class requires 32 hours with the remaining 8 hours devoted to CPR/First Aid/AED for an additional charge or as a responsibility for clients to complete. Proficiency must be demonstrated through completion of a written exam.
Classes that are marked with a ( * ) can be combined to receive an OSHA 10 Hour Card.
Classes that are marked with a ( ** ) can be combined to receive an OSHA 30 Hour Card.
All 10 and 30 hour training must take place within a six(6) month period. |
