DOT Hazardous Materials
Minimum 8 / $600.00 per student / 24 hours
Packaging, shipping, or just signing manifests? Employees who do so are mandated by COT to complete training every 3 years. Course covers the basics of hazardous materials: physical and chemical properties, toxicity, hazard communication as well as personal protective equipment which may be required when handling hazardous materials during packaging and shipping. Spill response and instrumentation is also covered. Students learn how to use the DOT Hazardous Materials Table, and how to complete shipping papers, package, mark, and label. IATA requirements can be incorporated into the class.
Classes that are marked with a ( * ) can be combined to receive an OSHA 10 Hour Card.
Classes that are marked with a ( ** ) can be combined to receive an OSHA 30 Hour Card.
All 10 and 30 hour training must take place within a six(6) month period. |
